At Free Kick Football Academy, we are more than just a training program — we are a growing football movement committed to developing confident, skillful, and passionate young players.

Founded by qualified Physical Education teacher and licensed football coach Hernán Godoy, our academy combines years of international coaching experience with a deep understanding of youth development. Our mission is to create an environment where children learn through football, grow through meaningful challenges, and have fun every step of the way.

Each session is carefully designed with purpose and progression, ensuring that players develop in a structured, dynamic, and enjoyable environment. We use game-based learning to keep players active, engaged, and constantly improving. At our academy, play is not separate from learning — it is the way we learn.

Fundamental motor skills development

By developing fundamental motor skills, children gain the physical tools needed for both sport and everyday movement.

Free play as the main teaching method

Free play fosters intrinsic motivation, helping kids stay engaged, curious, and confident as they develop.

Spatial and temporal awareness with others

Understanding where and when to move builds the foundation for teamwork, passing, and game flow.

Free Kick Football Academy offers a clear, long-term pathway structured into three core pillars:

🔹 PRO – High-performance training for advanced players aiming to reach their full potential, including individual coaching, positional focus, and competitive exposure.

This pyramid allows players to grow step by step — whether they’re just starting out or dreaming of playing at a high level, there is a place and a path for everyone.

About the coach

Hernan Godoy – Head coach

Bachelor degree in physical education & Football coach at Universidad de la República Uruguay. Passionate about developing players on and off the field, I bring over 10 years of international coaching experience. I am currently a coach for the Official FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid Camps in New Zealand, as well as head coach of the Girls’ 1st XI and senior boys futsal team at ACG Tauranga.
